“Ci will let us gather content from anywhere and quickly share with producers to speed up our production cycle”
– Frank Governale, VP of Operations, CBS News
CBS News is adopting Sony’s Ci Media Cloud platform. The network will use the technology’s Workspace features for remote contributions from its production teams and secure delivery of raw footage from the field.
“Ci will let us gather content from anywhere and quickly share with producers to speed up our production cycle,” said Frank Governale, Vice President of Operations at CBS News. “Speed and security are obviously very important to what we do and Sony Ci checked all the boxes.”
Sony plans to roll-out updates to Ci throughout 2016, many based on user requests and all designed to further enable enterprise-wide collaboration, sharing, and workflows. For a full list of Ci features, visit www.sonymcs.com.
“CBS’ use of Ci will meet the network’s need for speed and data accessibility, accelerating its media workflows and enabling enterprise-wide collaboration and file sharing,” said David Rosen, Vice President, Business Development for Sony Electronics’ Professional Solutions Americas group.
